The winner on Lake Texoma advances to the High School Nationals against six other regional champions in the spring of 2014 with $10,000 in college scholarships on the line.

Mattison and Poulsen recently spent three days pre-fishing on Lake Texoma in a wide variety of weather.

The first day, they faced temperatures in the 90s. Then a front moved through and brought with it wind, rain and a drop in temperature of about 40 degrees.

The pair had success locating bass on the 90,000-acre impoundment.

Last Friday night, Mattison and Poulsen were honored during Airline’s football game against Byrd.

Mattison is sponsored by V&M Cyclone Lures, Kistler Rods, Mercury Outboards and Southern Icee. Poulsen is sponsored by Dobyns Rods.
