Led by individual champion Jack Wilkes, the Airline Vikings finished second in the Byrd Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
Wilkes covered the 3-mile course at Camp Forbing in 15 minutes, 43 seconds. Other Airline runners in the scoring were Kaleb Sahlie (eighth), Samuel Kelley (13th), Jase Thaxton (14th) and Jack Jordan (21st).
Byrd won the meet with 42 points to 49 for Airline.
