Reaching this level of achievement is especially difficult, given that 1.6 million students each year apply for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Booker and fellow Airline High School classmate Erin Bullock are now two of only 15,000 chosen nationwide as Finalists. They will learn next month if they are chosen for a National Merit Scholarship and other monetary awards offered by various corporations and universities.

Booker is active in numerous clubs at Airline and extracurricular activities. He is a member of FCA, FBLA, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honors Society. He is also a member of NSHSS. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and listening to music. After graduation, Booker is considering a career in either the medical field or in engineering.
