ANECA to host free community party to benefit local food bank

ANECA Federal Credit Union has long been known for their fun, free, community events and September 3rd will be no exception when they host a Party in the Park to benefit the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

ANECA is inviting the entire community to AC Steere Park for a free Party in the Park and Movie in the Dark. The event begins at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 3rd with bounce houses, face painting, bubbles, and live performers throughout the event.

“We always strive for a festival atmosphere for the entire family, from the kids to the parents and grandparents,” said Stephanie Sievers, CEO of ANECA. “We love our community and because we are a not for profit, community credit union, giving back is in our DNA.”

At 8:00 PM, the party transitions to a free showing of Zootopia on an outdoor movie screen.

“We’ll provide the popcorn,” Sievers advises, “you bring the lawn chairs and blankets.”

While the event is planned to be free fun for the entire family, it is focused on a cause. There will be multiple food bins set up for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

“This is one of those times when Louisiana families really need the Food Bank,” said Sievers, “in order to collect as many donations as possible, we are offering a raffle to win a forty-inch HD Vizio Smart TV. Every food donation at the Party in the Park will get one entry into the raffle.”

ANECA Federal Credit Union, located in Shreveport and Bossier City, is dedicated to helping the community meet their financial goals, borrow smarter and get out of debt. They put people before profit because they are “different that way.”
