Annual fire & life safety open houses to be held Oct. 17

Bossier Parish Fire District 1 and the Haughton Fire Department would like to invite all members of the community to attend our Annual Fire & Life Safety Open Houses on Saturday, October 17th.

These events will feature fire and life safety information, static and interactive fire safety learning stations, fire equipment displays, firefighting and rescue demonstrations and, of course, plenty of handouts, kid’s goodies and  fire trucks. In addition, there will be personnel available to take blood pressures and teach the public how to correctly use smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.

Both events will run from 10AM until 2 PM. The Haughton Fire Station is located at 224 West McKinley in Haughton and Bossier Parish Fire District’s  Central Station is located at 4494 Highway 80, just west of Platt and T.L Rodes Elementary schools. Information on the BPFD1 event can be obtained by calling 944-9440 or via e-mail at bcallahan@bpfd1.org. Information on the event at the Haughton Fire department’s station can be obtained by calling 949-9500.

Both events will be held rain or shine, and light refreshments will be served.
