Archery workshop to be held July 17

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will host an archery workshop Thursday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the gymnasium at Carrie Martin Elementary School in Plain Dealing.archery

Robert Stroede, the department’s Biologist and Archery in Louisiana Schools Coordinator, will be teaching adults the basics about archery so they can add the sport to their school or recreational program. More than 15 people from state parks, Bossier Schools and elsewhere have registered for this workshop.

Carrie Martin Elementary is located at 600 South Perrin Street in Plain Dealing. (You will turn right off of Highway 3 onto S. Perrin and follow the curve to the school.)
