Bossier City Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing incident earlier this month.

Talben Pope has been booked into the Bossier City Jail for Domestic Abuse Battery after an investigation by BCPD shows that his girlfriend, Taisa Johnson, was acting in self-defense when he was stabbed. The incident happened on the afternoon of July 10, 2014 at 3222 Linda Circle in Bossier City.

According to police, the stabbing was a result of a Domestic Dispute between Johnson, 29, and her boyfriend, Pope, 26. The dispute turned physical and Pope was stabbed in the upper body. The police investigation reports that Pope was being physically violent towards Johnson.

Pope received treatment at University Health in Shreveport and was arrested upon release from the hospital.
