As the presenting sponsor of the Tiger Takeover, AT&T has teamed up with HeartWork
Foundation and scholar-athlete Mikaylah Williams to support the tremendous work they are
doing across the Shreveport-Bossier area. The HeartWork Foundation uses basketball
techniques as a tool to develop youth and push them to a higher level of functioning both on
and off the court.
“The lessons learned in team sports prove critical in every stage of life, and through the
HeartWork Foundation, we are cultivating confidence, leadership skills, and positive,
competitive attitudes with young people in Shreveport, better-preparing them for the future
ahead,” said Derrick Parker – Trainer HeartWork Foundation.
A Parkway High School alum, Mikaylah Williams is making her mark, leading the LSU Lady
Tigers on the court, and making an impact in her community off the court.
“For more than a century, AT&T has been helping Louisianans connect,” said David J.
Aubrey, president, AT&T Louisiana. “While much of our work is investing in and building
the advanced networks which deliver connections, we also are proud to support
organizations like the HeartWork Foundation and individuals like Mikaylah Williams as they
help inspire confidence in area youth.”
AT&T’s support helps shine a light on the tremendous work being done to build stronger,
more resilient communities.
