BOSSIER CITY – Services for Audrey Lee Barker, 76, will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Audrey was born September 7, 1937 in Singer, Louisiana and passed away in Shreveport Louisiana on December 16, 2013. Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She always had a smile on her face. She was past Worthy Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star for the state of Louisiana from 2004-2005. Audrey was also a faithful member of First Baptist Bossier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Clara Clark; son, Johnny Lee Barker; brothers, James and Roy Clark and a sister, Glenda Odom. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, George Barker; son, Frankie Barker and wife Birdie; daughters, Janet Shaw and husband Patrick, Darlene House and husband Bradford; sisters, Patsy Clark and Lois Martinez. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be, John Clark, James Pantalion, Christopher Shaw, Jason Shaw, Patrick Shaw, Jon’ Michael Hillard. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Strout, Buck Denny and Al Frazier, Julio Morales and James Premeaux.
