BAC seeking entries for Bossier Parish student art show

The Bossier Arts Council is very excited to present this year’s Bossier Parish Student Art Show, “Me, Myself, & Art” beginning December 1st and will be on display until January 30th.

This year’s theme encourages students from Bossier Parish’s elementary, middle, and high schools to produce artworks that represent who they are and their personality. This could be a self-portrait, favorite color, song, artist, pet, places, etc.

Freedom of expression is a fundamental value that art instills in students and the purpose of this show is to provide them with the opportunity to showcase their creative visions and artistic ideas through producing original works of art.

The Bossier Arts Council will accept various media including, painting, drawing, collage, graphic art, print, as well as digital and traditional photography. Students may also submit their work in two dimensional or three dimensional formats.
An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 9th from 5:30-7:30pm at the Bossier Arts Council, located at 630 Barksdale Boulevard, Bossier City, La 71111. We will be awarding $1500 in prizes this year.
