Gerard and Judy Show

Gerard and Judy were vigilant in their attempt to exhibit their work. They began calling galleries in the area and after some rejection; they finally got the answer they wanted, yes! In late summer the Gallery Fine Art Center received a package in the mail containing Gerard and Judy’s beautiful and unique work. The Bossier Art Council is proud to exhibit this fine show and give Gerard and Judy the recognition they deserve. Their work will be on display, Dec.r 21 from 3-5 p.m. at the East Bank Gallery. Join us for the show, light refreshments and meet Gerard and Judy in person.

Artist One Stop Class

Art into Stationary will be held Saturday, Dec. 28 from 1-3 p.m.

After the Holidays is a perfect time to make some cards to send out your Thank You’s! Learn how to take your masterpiece and turn it into stationary, notecards, and postcards. These small items make great stock to sell at events where people want small items immediately. Must have digital images of your work to participate. Class will be held at the Bossier Arts Council, 630 Barksdale Blvd.

Showing at Gallery Fine Arts Center

The exhibition features art from the following artists: Jerry Berg, Daniel Cassity, Albino Hinjosa, Talbot Hopkins and Peter Jones. The show will be on exhibition until the end of January. The Gallery Fine Art Center (2151 Airline Dr.) is openTuesday-Saturday 12pm-5pm or by special appointment. The Gallery Fine Art Center is a project of the Bossier Arts Council and made possible by the generous donations of Meredith Hamrick, Sharon and Ken McGivney, Marcy Everett and The Airline Plaza.

Opening at Community Trust Bank

Project Art Supplies is an ongoing effort to put Art Supplies in the hands of Bossier students. Please continue to support this effort by dropping off supplies to the Bossier Arts Council at 630 Barksdale Blvd Bossier City, LA 71111. We will focus on a different artist medium every two weeks. This December bring boxes of CRAYONS! While you are out shopping, stop by the school supply section of your favorite store and grab a box of colored pencils. Who knows- maybe they will end up in the hands of the next Picasso! To donate, visit http://www.bossierarts.org/component/k2/item/129
