Baseball: BPCC downs Centenary JV

The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers defeated the Centenary College JV 4-1 Monday at BPCC. The Cavs also defeated the Gents JV 8-4 on Tuesday, March 25.

In between, BPCC dropped all three games of a Region XIV series against Navarro 9-2, 7-6 and 10-9.

Matt Hammock had two hits and two RBI in the 8-4 victory over the Centenary JV. Brooks Robey also had two hits. Former Benton standout Andrew Cole had a two-RBI double. Spencer Goodwin also had a double.

Kiefer Moore had two hits, including a triple, in Monday’s victory. Hunter Wilcher went 2-for-3. Robert Herrera had a double.

Cole went 4-for-4 in the 7-6 loss to Navarro. Herrera had two hits, including a home run, and two RBI. Wilcher also homered. Robey had two hits.

Herrera and Eric Goree had two hits each in the 10-9 loss. Cole and Robey had two hits each in the 9-2 loss.

BPCC (13-20-1) began a three-game Region XIV home series this afternoon against Angelina College. The teams are scheduled to play a noon doubleheader Friday.
