Baseball: BPCC splits doubleheader with Paris

The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers split a Region XIV home doubleheader against Paris Junior College on Monday, taking the first game 5-1 and losing the second 14-10.

Doc Wilkerson pitched a seven-inning four-hitter in the victory. Francisco Rodriguez went 3-for-3. Taylor Roy had two hits. Brooks Robey doubled. Former Benton standout Andrew Cole had a hit.

Five BPCC pitchers allowed 18 hits in the loss. Robert Herrera had two hits, including a home run. Justin Norris also homered. Spencer Goodwin had two hits. Roy had three RBI.

Last Thursday, the Cavs dropped the first game of the series against Paris 5-3 in Paris. Goodwin, Hammock, Herrera and Rodriguez all had two hits. Josey Langston had a double.

The Cavs also dropped a non-conference game to LSUE 13-3 last week.
