Former Benton standout Andrew Cole had two hits, including a solo home run, to help BPCC defeat Mountain View 7-3 Tuesday afternoon at BPCC.
The game was BPCC’s annual “Pinkout” Game, and the players wore pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.
Spencer Goodwin went 3-for-4 with a triple for the Cavs. Francisco Rodriguez had two hits, including a double, and two RBI.Taylor Roy had a double and single. Robert Herrera went 2-for-3.
Former Airline standout Landon Lewis scattered seven hits in 6 2/3 innings and struck out six in the nine-inning game.
BPCC (13-23-1) begins a three-game Region XIV series at Panola College Thursday. The teams are scheduled to play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday.
BPCC was swept by Angelina College 17-0, 1-0 and 10-2 in a Region XIV baseball series last week.
BPCC’s Doc Wilkerson allowed just three hits in the seven-inning 1-0 loss, but the Cavs managed just four.
Robert Herrera and Josey Langston had two hits each for the Cavs in the 17-0 loss. Angelina turned it into a rout with 12 runs in the top of the seventh.
