Bossier Parish baseball teams had their ups and downs in weekend tournaments.
Parkway, Airline and Haughton all won at least one game, but they all felt the sting of defeat too. Benton had a tough weekend, losing all three, including two one-run games Saturday.
The Panthers, Vikings and Bucs all played in the Sulphur tournament. Benton played in the West Monroe event.

Parkway — Rob Harper turned in the weekend’s best performance, pitching a one-hitter in the Panthers’ 2-0 victory over Pineville Friday night.
Harper struck out five and walked just two. Kyle Laverdiere went 2-for-2 with a double. Carson Vaughn also had two hits. Dylan Whaley had a double.
The Panthers (7-10) got good pitching Saturday but lost games to Sam Houston 3-1 and ASH 2-0.
Whaley had two of Parkway’s five hits against Sam Houston. Jon Koestner went the distance, scattering hits.
Caleb Stock kept ASH scoreless after the first inning after giving up two runs in the first. But Parkway managed just four hits.
Airline — The Vikings went 1-2 Friday and Saturday, knocking off Pineville 9-4 and losing to Sam Houston 5-3 and ASH 12-4.
Peyton Davis went 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Pineville. Cameron Taylor, Will Goodwin and Dylan Elliott all had two hits.
The Vikings (6-9) scored seven runs in the first. Hayden Waxley and Taylor scattered nine hits.
Taylor had three hits, including a triple, against Sam Houston. Dylan Elliott had two hits.
Cameron Kyle had two hits, Zach Beene homered and Chase River had a triple in the loss to ASH.
Benton — The Tigers (12-6) lost to Tioga and Notre Dame by identical 4-3 scorers Saturday and Ruston 6-1 Friday.
Jordan Shaffer and Jaret Gill hit home runs against Tioga and Aaron Baker had a double. Aaron Sheppard went the distance, allowing eight hits and striking out four.
Benton scored a run in the top of the seventh to tie it against Notre Dame, but the Pioneers won with one in the bottom of the inning.
Shaffer and Cameron Horton each had two hits, including doubles. Clay Festavan had a double.
The Tigers gave up just four hits against Ruston, but managed just six of their own. Three errors also hurt. Shaffer went 2-for-4.
Haughton — All three of Haughton’s games were decided by one run.
The Bucs defeated Minden 10-9 and lost to one-run games to Pineville 4-3 and Sam Houston 2-1.
Hunter Golden and Kirkland Seals had two hits each against Minden. John Tomb had a double and three RBIs. Tomb was the winning pitcher.
Haughton scored two in the seventh against Pineville but couldn’t complete the rally.
Bradley Bockhaus, Seth Ryan had RBIs.
Sam Wallace went 2-for-4 and Tomb had a double in the loss to Sam Houston.
Starter Keith Ramsey allowed just three in in 5 1-3 innings.
Bossier — Brent Wroblewski had two of the Bearkats’ four hits in a 17-6 loss to Logansport on Saturday.
