Basketball: Bossier boys, girls pick up sub-varsity wins

The Bossier boys and girls freshman and junior varsity basketball teams won games Wednesday and Thursday night.

Thursday, the Bossier boys swept Minden, routing the Crimson Tide 75-37 in the freshman game and rallying for a 42-40 JV win in overtime.

Quillen Dixon and Isaiah Wallace led the Bearkats freshmen with 11 points each. Keyshawn Jones and Demarcus Davenport scored 10 each.

Bossier trailed 33-21 going into the fourth quarter in the JV game. Wallace and Keimun Daniels led the Bearkats with nine points each.

Wednesday, Bossier also swept Minden in girls freshman and JV games, winning the freshman game 29-27 and the JV game 41-32.

Destiny Thomas led the freshmen with 11 points, and Chloe Walker added seven. Bree West scored 13 to lead the JV squad. The Lady Kats also got 10 points from Quienna White and eight from Walker.

Thursday, the JV team picked up a 46-9 victory over North Webster. Shawna Jones led the way with 11 points.
