The Bossier City Fire Department responded to a fire Monday morning in the 1200 block of Lampkin Street that damaged two houses.
Firefighters got the call at approximately 5:15 a.m. The first units that arrived on scene reported the first house was fully involved in flames and were informed by a witness that there was possibly one person still inside the burning structure. However a search by firefighters confirmed that was fortunately not the case.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Along with causing severe damaged to the home, the fire also destroyed two vehicles that were parked in and near the home’s carport and spread to a house next door resulting in significant damage to that structure.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
