Bossier Council on Aging is pleased to partner with Walgreens on Airline and Shed Road for “Fan Friday for Seniors.”

On select Fridays in August, Walgreens will be collecting fans, bottled water and monetary donations to provide Bossier Council on Aging support for their seniors.

Many seniors in our area have to must choose between purchasing groceries or medicine or paying for a high electricity bill. With support from the community, Walgreens and Bossier Council on Aging is helping to keep our seniors cool and comfortable in their own homes.

August is typically the hottest month in Louisiana and seniors are more susceptible to heat stroke and heat exhaustion, therefore Bossier Council on Aging offers one fan a year and distributes bottled water from their Senior Centers.

Donations can be made at Walgreens, 2107 Airline Drive on the following Fridays: August 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 3-5 p.m.

Representatives from Bossier Council on Aging and Walgreens will be present and can assist with your donation and answer any questions about services.
