BCPD cites nine seat belt violations in four hours

the bossier city police department conducted a safety checkpoint at the intersection of old minden road and john wesley boulevard on monday, may 19 as part of the department’s participation in the click it or ticket campaign sponsored by the louisiana highway safety commission and national highway traffic safety administration.

between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. monday officers checked a total of 106 vehicles and issued nine citations for seat belt violations and seven citations for no child safety restraint. officers wrote four additional citations for a variety of other offenses.
