The Bossier City Police Department has released its annual crime stats for 2014, which show a 3.6% increase in the total number of reported crimes compared to the previous year.
A total of 10,914 crimes were reported to the Bossier City Police Department in 2014 compared to 10,529 in 2013. Each of the major crimes categories of burglary, aggravated assault, theft, auto theft and rape rose in 2014 while homicides and armed robberies decreased.
These crime stats are based on the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting categories.
