BCPD investigating two armed robberies

The Bossier City Police Department are investigating two armed robberies in the past two days. Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery Tuesday morning that occurred at a local car wash and another that occurred Monday evening at a local hotel.

Police were called to the Snappy Scrubs Car Wash in the 1900 block of Benton Road at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. An employee tells police he was preparing to open the business for the day when two suspects entered the office and robbed him at gunpoint. 

The suspects got an undisclosed amount of money from the business and fled the scene on foot. The employee was not injured.  The suspects both had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing.

Police were called to the Rodeway Inn and Suites in the 3000 block of Hilton Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday shortly after an armed suspect entered the lobby, approached a clerk at the front desk and demanded money.

The suspect got undisclosed amount of cash and walked out of the hotel where he reportedly met up with a second suspect before they both ran from the scene. The clerk was not injured.

The first suspect is described as a heavy set black male, 5’10” – 6’ tall and 240 -250 pounds. He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a slender black male, 5’8”-5’10” tall and was wearing blue jeans, a black and red jacket and white tennis shoes.

Bossier City officials do not believe the incidents are related, at this time.
