Beast Baseball USSSA Coach Pitch World Series champs

The Beast Baseball team of Northwest Louisiana won the USSSA 8-year-olds Coach Pitch World Series in Sulphur earlier this month. The team consisted of four players from Haughton, three from Bossier City, two from Minden and one from Shreveport. Beast Baseball finished 37-5 playing travel ball on the weekends.

coachpitchteamThe team went 3-0 in pool play in the World Series. They lost their first game in bracket play and then won five straight games to win the title, rallying from a 6-0 deficit in the first game of the championship round for a 10-9 victory over the South Texas Longhorns. In the second game, they never trailed and won 7-6. Team members are Connor Blank, Colin Rains, CJ Watts, Sergio Delgado, Maddox Mandino, Trent Lape, Jackson Legg, Cade Josting, Brandon Levy and Nickolas Hensley. The manager is Stan Hensley. Coaches are John Blank, Laban Levy, Jason Legg and Kevin Watts.
