Benton Farmers’ Market has added a fall market to its 2016 season opening October 2, 2016.  The fall season runs Sundays Only, October 2 – October 30, from Noon until 4:00 p.m. at Simpson Street Park in Benton – 495 Simpson Street.  Admission is free and free on site parking is available.

Visitors to Benton Farmers’ Market will enjoy seasonal produce such as greens, peas, beans, squash, pumpkins all grown by local farmers/gardeners.  Grass fed meats and Louisiana seafood will also be available.  Artisans will be on hand with plenty of pickles, jams, breads, cookies, sauces, rubs, local honey, goat milk soaps, homemade granola and much more.   Vintage crafts or services will be offered and be sure to come hungry!  The Food Court will be open with plenty of choices for lunch to be enjoyed on picnic tables under the covered pavilion.

On stage performances  this season include Red Chute Review, Cheridy Adams, Garland Wiliford,  and more.  The market is held in the park so there is plenty for children to enjoy including the playground, free cow train rides, farm animal petting zoo and special events planned during the market.

The market participates in the Senior Nutrition Food Program.  ATMs are located nearby and many vendors accept credit cards.
