Visitors to Benton Farmers’ Market will experience a true farmers market with a multitude of local farmers from all over the Ark-La-Tex growing their own vegetables and fruits or offering pasture raised meats.  There is an opportunity for large and small farmers to offer homegrown!  Artisans of all kinds will be present with homemade soaps, pickles, jams, breads, cookies, sauces, rubs, honey, cracklings, and much more.  Vintage crafts and farm crafts or services will also be offered.  Ready to eat foods will be abundant, so come hungry!  Prepared foods to take home will be available.

Many of our shoppers’ favorite vendors are returning as well as several new ones to explore.  There will be over 60 vendors present for this “family friendly” market.  Guest Chefs such as Chef Holly Schreiber of Sainte Terre in Benton  will be present opening day  and Chef H.D. Harris  will appear during the season to share their talents and exhibitors will be demonstrating everything from woodcarving, blacksmithing, square dancing, spinning and more.  The children will enjoy the playground in the park, cow train rides, and special events planned such as Bossier Parish Library activities during the season as well as an opportunity to learn where their food comes from and how it is grown.  The farmers and producers are always eager to share their story!

Some of the live music this year will include Ramer Gentry Band on opening day, The Blanchard  Jammers and Red Chute, On the Fence Band, Cheridy Adams and more.

The market does participate in the Senior Nutrition Food Program.  ATM’s are located nearby and some vendors do accept credit cards.
