The Benton Police Department will be accepting old/expired or unwanted prescription and over the counter medication at the Benton Country Store on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Police Chief Charles Pilkinton says this “Clean Sweep” to homes and medicine cabinets will help protect children and other family members from accidental drug ingestion, overdose, or abuse. All medication will be properly disposed of by the Benton Police Department.
The Benton Country Store is located on LA. Hwy. 3 just North of Simpson Street.
