Benton sophomore Hayden White finished tied for ninth in the David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior which concluded Thursday at Southern Trace Country Club.
White shot an even-par 72 in the final round after posting scores of 77 in the Wednesday’s second round and 72 in Tuesday’s first round. His 54-hole total of 5-over par was just four strokes behind winner Mason Weld of Helotes, Texas.
Weld and Nicholas Duggan of San Antonio, Texas, both finished regulation play at 1-over. Duggan, who was tied for 18th after the second round, blistered the course for a 67 Friday while Weld shot a 75. Weld, however, won the title on the second playoff hole.
