Bills signed into law by Gov. Edwards

BATON ROUGE — Governor John Bel Edwards has signed the following bills into law:

  • Act 12 – HB 19: Provides relative to the entities to which corporate franchise tax applies
  • Act 13HB 27: Increases the excise tax levied on certain alcoholic beverages
  • Act 14 – HB 39: Levies an automobile rental tax
  • Act 15 – HB 43: Provides for the amount of vendors’ compensation authorized as compensation for the collection and remittance of state sales and use taxes
  • Act 16 – HB 55: Requires that certain deductible items be added back on certain corporate income tax returns
  • Act 17 – HB 59: Provides relative to imposition of the state sales and use tax on hotels
  • Act 18 – HB 71: Reduces the amount of certain Enterprise Zone tax credits and removes certain hotels from eligibility
  • Act 19 – HB 118: Reduces appropriations for the Louisiana Judiciary for Fiscal Year 2015-2016
  • Act 20HB 119: Reduces appropriations for the legislature for Fiscal Year 2015-2016
  • Act 21 – HB 2: Repeals the Student Assessment for a Valuable Education (SAVE) credit program
  • Act 22HB 30: Provides for the collection of sales and use taxes due on sales made in Louisiana by a remote dealer
