The next Bistineau Task Force meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:15 am in the police jury meeting room at the Webster Parish courthouse (2nd floor).
A survey regarding Lake Bistineau management and other issues has been underway since September 1st. The public commenting period for this survey will conclude on September 18th at the BTF Meeting.
This survey is available online at http://www.trailblazer.org/btf/ or by request from Trailblazer RC&D (call 318-255-3554 to request an email copy or fax). The completed survey can be submitted via email, fax, or mail (send to 302 E Reynolds Dr, Ruston, La 71270) within the specified time frame. Copies of the survey will be available at the BTF meeting for people to fill out and submit there.
This meeting will be focused on oral comments from the public (for those who wish to speak). Each person will have 1 minute to address the BTF. [This is not a Q & A session] Comments should be limited to recommendations for the future management of Lake Bistineau. The commenting period will end at the conclusion of the BTF meeting on Sep. 18, 2014.
Copies of all comments received will be packaged and given to the La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries leadership in Baton Rouge and also to the elected state senator and state representatives.
