BOSSIER CITY, LA – On July 21, 2013, Bobbie Jean Price Peters passed away at University of Texas Medical Center in Galveston, Texas. She succumbed to complications from a fall.
Jean was born on September 25, 1936. She is predeceased by her husband, S.P. Peters; her beloved daughter, Paula Marie Peters Cochran; and her parents, Custus A. Price and Grace Liggett Price. She is survived by her two sons, Mark S. Peters (wife Martha Tuminello Peters) and Joey Peters (wife Vicki); seven grandchildren, Craton Cochran (wife Jessica), Nicholas Peters (wife Lindsay), Josh Peters, Brant Peters, Julie Cochran, Jason Peters and Grace Ann Peters; four great-grandchildren, Jillian Cochran, Blake Cochran, Stella Grace Peters and Sofia Rose Peters; her sister, Jo Price Raney; brother-in-law, Don Macha; son-in-law, Jimmy Cochran; her aunt, Hilda Harris; many nieces and nephews; and her special lifelong friends, Dianne McQueen, Bobbie Rose Whorton, Joy Young, Linda Lou Wilson, Linda Boschen and Jo Ellen Brewer.
Jean graduated from Bossier High School in 1955, and soon after married S.P. Peters. They started a family in Bossier City and were co-operators of Food City Grocery on Barksdale Blvd.
Pallbearers will be Chris Marsiglia, Dean Hall, Rickey Raney, Skeeter Raney, Nick Peters, Brant Peters, Jimmy Cochran and Craton Cochran. Honorary pallbearers are Don Macha, David McQueen, Buck Whorton, Tommy Peters, Mickey Capuano and Vinson Maggio.
Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. followed by a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be offered by Father Pike Thomas at St. Jude Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. followed by Christian burial at Hill Crest Memorial Park where she will be laid next to her sweetheart/husband, S.P. Peters.
