UPDATE: The advisory has been rescinded.

The City of Bossier City has issued a boil advisory for a portion of Bossier Parish that receives water from the City of Bossier — north of Kingston Road along Airline Drive and east of Airline Drive along Swan Lake Road.

The advisory is being issued due to a temporary disruption of water service in that area as a result of construction crews accidently damaging a water line Saturday night at the intersection of Airline Drive and Kingston Road.

The advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded.

The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption. Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order.

We will notify the when the advisory is rescinded.
