The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) has
announced a boil advisory for residents of the Dogwood Trail Subdivision, served by the
Village Water System.
Earlier today, a contractor accidentally struck a marked water main in the 9100 block of
Dogwood Trail. As a result, work crews had to shut off the water supply for
approximately two hours to carry out necessary repairs. This disruption has led officials
to issue a boil advisory affecting around 120 homes from Sterling Ranch Road to
Bellevue Road.
Water samples will be collected and sent for testing tomorrow morning. Residents are
advised to boil their water before consumption until the Louisiana Department of Health,
Office of Public Health in Shreveport, completes the required testing and confirms the
water is safe for use.
