Boil Advisory Issued for Whitehall Drive Residents

The City of Bossier City is announcing that a boil advisory will be in effect for a small area of Bossier City once maintenance work begins in the area next week. The boil advisory is for residents along Whitehall Drive, Rosedown Lane, Castille Court, and Oak Alley.

Bossier City maintenance crews will be replacing a fire hydrant Monday, August 6th, 2018. Work will begin at 9:00 am and is expected to take six hours to complete. During this time, residents within this area will have low water pressure. The boil advisory will still be in effect after the maintenance is completed.

The boil advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded. The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption. Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order.
