BOSSIER CITY, La. – The City of Bossier City has lifted the precautionary boil advisory that was issued for customers located along Antietam Drive and Cold Harbor Court following a water main break near 200 Antietam Drive.
The advisory was issued as a precaution after a 10-inch water main, which likely failed due to environmental factors associated with the prolonged hot and dry weather, was isolated for repairs. Bossier City maintenance crews completed repairs and restored water service on the same day.
Based on negative investigative bacteriological sample results and chlorine residual levels meeting or exceeding the Louisiana Department of Health’s minimum requirement of 0.5 parts per million (ppm), the boil advisory has been officially rescinded.
Customers in the affected area may now resume normal use of their water supply for drinking, cooking, ice making, brushing teeth, and all other household purposes without boiling.
The City of Bossier City thanks residents for their patience and cooperation while Public Utilities crews completed repairs and testing to ensure the continued safety and reliability of the water system.
