The Village Water System has lifted the precautionary boil advisory that was issued on
June 18, 2026, for the Forest Hills Neighborhood. Water quality testing confirms the
system now meets all safety standards, and the water is safe for normal use.
The advisory was issued after an 8-inch water main break at 2847 Sunrise Point caused
crews to isolate the affected portion of the system between Coldwater Creek and Mossy
Rock Point while repairs were underway.
A temporary drop in water pressure created the potential for contamination, prompting a
precautionary advisory while:
Repairs on the water system were complete
Service has been fully restored
Laboratory testing confirms the water is safe for consumption
While the water is safe, residents may take the following steps as a precaution:
Flush household plumbing: Run cold water faucets for 2–5 minutes
Discard ice: Dump existing ice and clean ice makers before use
Run appliances: Run dishwashers and washing machines on a full cycle
Residents may resume normal use of their water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth,
and food preparation.
