Detectives with the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force have arrested a local woman on criminal charges for
forging and cashing business checks that belonged to a client of the Bossier City accounting office were she had been employed.
Jody Lee Pike, 57, of Bossier City was arrested after an investigation found she had forged and cashed multiple checks over the past several months totaling $41,000 while she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Hudnall CPA office in the 1000 block of Gould Drive. Detectives say Pike made the checks out to herself and forged the client’s signature on each one.
Pike was booked into the Bossier City Jail on charges of forgery and theft. She was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
