Boomtown Casino and Hotel Bossier City announced today that Austin Muchemore has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager.

In his new role, Muchemore will be responsible for the daily operations of Boomtown Casino and Hotel. Muchemore was previously Vice President of Gaming Operations at Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs, a property also owned by Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. He replaces Rod Centers who was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City.
“I am excited to join the Boomtown Casino and Hotel team and will continue to strive for operational excellence in all areas of the property, while providing exceptional guest service and a fun environment for our team members,” said Muchemore.
Muchemore began his casino career in 2006 as a talent recruitment trainee working as a slot technician at Cactus Petes Resort Casino in Jackpot, Nevada. Muchemore held numerous leadership positions at Cactus Petes as well as Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs, Iowa. While working at Ameristar, Muchemore was recognized with the Craig H. Neilsen award, the top honor given for management leadership in the company. Prior to joining Pinnacle, he worked in the manufacturing industry where he trained Lean manufacturing concepts. While at Ameristar, he put those process improvement skills to work and later earned Master Black Belt status in Lean Six Sigma.

When asked about moving south to work for Boomtown, Muchemore said, “I am thankful to be back in the south and finally drink sweet tea for the first time in eight years.” He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and now resides in Bossier City with his wife and two children. Muchemore graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Georgetown University in Georgetown, Texas. He is an avid photographer, tennis player and prides himself with always having the latest gadget.
