A local business today presented Bossier City firefighters with a generous gift just as one of their own is about to show off his culinary skills on a popular syndicated television cooking show.

The episode of “Flip My Food with Chef Jeff” that will air on KSLA-TV tomorrow, October 16 at 3 p.m. will feature Bossier City firefighter Troy Gardner making some tasty eats with a Big Green Egg outdoor cooker courtesy of Tubbs Hardware. The episode was shot earlier this year at the business’s 615 Benton Road location. Tubbs is a Big Green Egg dealer and provided one for use in the show.bcfd_patch_logo

To mark the occasion of tomorrow’s Chef Jeff broadcast, Don Tubbs, owner of Tubbs Hardware, today presented firefighters with a Big Green Egg of their own to keep at the Central Fire Station for them to use in cooking their daily meals while on duty at the station.

Many of the firefighters assigned to the Central Station, including Gardner, are avid chefs in their own right and plan on making good use of their new Big Green Egg at meal times.
