Bossier Chamber to hold update on local education system this week

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce’s “State of the Schools” Address will feature an overview of local and state education systems as well as review the successes and challenges facing schools.
The Superintendent of Bossier Parish Public schools will be present to provide an overview of the progress being made in the public school system. Dr. Rick Bateman, President of Bossier Parish Community College, and Dr. Les Guice, President of Louisiana Tech University, will also be in attendance to provide a look at higher education in Bossier as well as recap the partnership roles higher education plays with K-12 education and local business, in particular knowledge based companies.
The 2017 State of Education Address will be held on Thursday, August 31, 8 a.m., at the Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovative Learning. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Individual tickets may be purchased for $35 and corporate tables of eight may be purchased for $550. Click here to reserve your seat.
