The month of May is recognized as National Military Appreciation Month and the Bossier Chamber is proud to honor the men and women of all branches during this month of recognition and thanks.
Throughout this month, the Military Relations Committee will shower our local military community with thanks through various initiatives which will build morale for the service members and bring the community together in support of this cause.
As part of our outpouring of support, the Bossier Chamber Military Relations Committee will conduct several Random Acts of Appreciation.
- We will organize outreach to the troops such as dropping off donuts to offices around base, delivering cookies to the units, etc. Businesses can help support this through monetary donations or donations of goods to be distributed.
- We encourage business to display their support on facility marquees, in Facebook messages and any other way that will help echo our community’s military support. Use the hashtag #MilitaryMayNWLA
- Don’t miss the Military Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, May 13, 8:30 a.m.,
Margaritaville Resort Casino. This event will feature insight into various jobs that military members in our local units perform, recognition of each branch represented in our Bossier-Shreveport Community, and the presentation of Military Unit of Excellence Awards.
