Bossier Chamber to honor hometown patriots

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce will be honoring local heroes at the 2015 Patriot Awards Friday, Sept. 11.

The event, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bossier Civic Center, will recognize Bossier City and Parish policemen, firemen, and all branches of the military for their dedication and service. The recipient of the 2015 Patriot Award will also be announced.

Elizabeth McCormick, former US Army Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot, will serve as the keynote speaker. Bossier Parish Police Jury President, Jack Skaggs, will also speak on behalf of Bossier Parish and recognize those who worked tirelessly during the 2015 flood of the Red River this past summer.

Bossier Parish Law Enforcement:  Deputy John “Jackie” Loveless, SRO/ Patrol Division

Bossier City Fire Protection:  Chad Halsell

Bossier Parish Emergency Communication:  Colette Daley

Reserve/Guard Military:  Captain Le’Terrance Williams, Sr., U.S. Army Reserves; Staff Sergeant Cassi Banks, U.S. Air Force Reserves; Staff Sergeant Freddie Duncan, U.S. Marine Corps Reserves

Active Duty Military:  Senior Airmen TJ Brantley, U.S. Air Force; Master Sergeant Jimmie Rushing, U.S. Air Force; Master Sergeant Terri Vinson, U.S. Air Force

Retired Military:  Chief Master Sergeant Kenneth P. Koval, U.S. Air Force
