This November the Bossier Chamber is set to host two military workshops for members of the community.
The seminars offer basic military training for the community and provide details about the U.S. Air Force, Barksdale Air Force Base as well as insight into the missions of all branches of the military represented in Northwest Louisiana.
Air Force 101
Thursday, November 12, 3-5 p.m.
Virginia College in Bossier City
“Air Force 101” presents the basics about rank structure, hierarchy of the commands from Barksdale to the Pentagon, common acronyms, and much more. Seminar attendees will be provided with an informational booklet which will serve as a great reference resource. The seminar is sponsored by Summit Executive Realty.
Beyond the Gates

Bossier Parish Community College, Bldg F, Room 203
“Beyond the Gates” will outline the mission of the less talked about military branches in our community. Learn what the mission is of the Army Reserve, Army National Guard, Navy Reserve and Marine Reserve units here in the Bossier-Shreveport Metro area and get a breakdown of how they function. Seminar attendees will be provided with an informational booklet which will be a great reference resource. The seminar is sponsored by Bossier Parish Community College.
