BOSSIER CITY FINANCE DEPARTMENT RECIEVES AWARD

Mayor Lo Walker along with Bossier City Council President David Montgomery, and the Bossier City Council will be honoring the Bossier City Finance Department and the Finance Director, Stacie Fernandez, at the Bossier City Council meeting today March 16, 2021 at 03:00 pm.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States (GFOA’s) has awarded Bossier City with a Certificate of Achievement along with an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement (AFRA) to the city for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2019. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the Bossier City Finance Department and its Director, Stacie Fernandez.

The Bossier City Finance Department is proud to have received this award each year for the last 39 years.
