The City of Bossier City has issued a boil advisory for a portion of its water system following a water main break near the intersection of Bonn Street and Central Park Drive.
The advisory applies to customers located along:
- Central Park Drive
- Bonn Street
- Cambridge Street
- Lee Street
- Rodney Street
All affected customers are located in the Bossier City, LA 71112 area. A map identifying the affected area is available with this notice.
Bossier City maintenance crews responded to the 8-inch water main blowout and isolated the affected section of the water system. Repair work is expected to be completed, with water service restored by 5:00 p.m. today, Monday, September 21.
As a precautionary measure, customers in the affected area are advised to boil water for one minute before consuming it. The advisory applies to water intended for consumption, including drinking, cooking, making ice and brushing teeth.
This is a precautionary boil advisory and not a boil order. Customers should continue to follow the advisory and boil water used for consumption until an official notice is issued that the advisory has been lifted.
