Members of the Bossier City Lions Club gathered Thursday, April 2, for their regular meeting, dedicating their time to a hands-on service project benefiting young patients at Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Instead of hosting a guest speaker, club members focused their efforts on assembling Easter baskets filled with treats and gifts intended to brighten the holiday for children receiving care. Volunteers worked together to organize and prepare the baskets, emphasizing the club’s ongoing commitment to community service and support for those in need.

The initiative reflects the Lions Club’s mission of giving back and making a positive impact, particularly for children facing medical challenges. By providing Easter baskets, members aimed to bring a sense of joy and normalcy to young patients during the holiday season.

Club leaders said projects like this are an important part of what the organization stands for, offering members an opportunity to serve the community in meaningful and tangible ways.

The completed baskets will be delivered to Shriners Children’s Hospital in time for Easter, ensuring patients are remembered and celebrated during the holiday.

Through simple acts of kindness, the Bossier City Lions Club continues to make a difference—one project at a time.
