Several Bossier City neighborhoods are gearing up for Bossier City Night Out which takes place tomorrow night, October 7, 2014 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.  Nine events are registered with the Bossier City Police Department that will bring residents together as they spend an evening outdoors with neighbors, police officers and firefighters in this annual crime fighting effort.

The Bossier City Police Department will be joining law enforcement agencies on both sides of the Red River in taking part in Shreveport-Bossier City Night Out activities with residents, including block parties and cookouts.

The goal of Shreveport-Bossier City Night Out is to: (1) heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership; and (3) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
