A tip to Bossier City Police earlier this year has resulted in the arrest of an airman on child pornography charges.
Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department’s Juvenile Unit arrested Robert Betha Broadus, 27, of Bossier City on 26 counts of pornography involving juveniles following an investigation that began in June. At that time police received information that Broadus had possession of a lewd photograph of a child on a personal computer.
The investigation led detectives to executing a search warrant at Broadus’ Bossier City residence where they seized computers and other electronic devices. Forensic exams conducted by the Bossier City Marshal’s Office found multiple images of child pornography on a laptop computer hard drive belonging to Broadus.
As a result of those findings, detectives obtained a warrant for Broadus’ arrest. Broadus was taken into custody on that warrant Thursday morning at Barksdale Air Force Base and subsequently booked into the Bossier City Jail. Bond on the arrest warrant is set at $100,000.
