The Bossier City Police Department has released its Crime Stats for the year 2023. The Dept.
provides this information annually in an effort to keep our Community informed as it relates to
progress and continued efforts of our Dept. to fight crime and keep our Community Safe.
Homicides for Bossier City increased by one in 2023, this increase is attributed to a tragic event
that occurred as an out of state fugitive dropped off I-20 at Industrial Drive and committed a
double homicide in our City. Bossier City experienced a slight increase in the area of Auto Theft
which due to a security problem with KIA’s and Hyundais is consistent with the national trend.
Our Police Dept. is committed to decreasing all robberies in our City but it is worth noting that
23 of the 27 robberies reported were individuals robbed and not businesses. The Bossier City
Police Dept. has focused its efforts on all areas of the Crimes stats with the goal being to prevent
and decrease in all categories in 2024.
