Bossier Council on Aging to celebrate veterans Nov. 3

The Bossier Council on Aging will present a “Celebration of Veterans” Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at 706 Bearkat Drive, across from Bossier High School, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

N1305P46001CThe Bossier High School ROTC Honor Guard will begin the festivities with the posting of colors, and a brief commentary from Colonel John Johnson.  A musical presentation by the Bossier Council on Aging “Singing Seniors” choir featuring patriotic songs will follow, with Mr. Ray Urban presenting his World War II Remembrance, complete with trivia and props from his private collection of memorabilia.

All former and current servicemen and women, from all branches of the service are invited to attend and be recognized for their efforts on behalf of a grateful nation.  Festivities will conclude with the singing of “America the Beautiful”.  Light refreshments will be served.
