The Bossier/Webster District Attorney’s Office presented the Bossier City Police Department with a check in the amount of $9,583.48 in funds from property seized in more than 20 drug investigations conducted by the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force.

Assistant District Attorney Charles Jacobs presented the department with the check representing assets seized from suspects in 21 narcotics investigations from December 2013 through March of this year. Those assets included items such as cash, vehicles and other property. The police department will use the money to fund future drug enforcement operations.

Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams and Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington formed the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force in October 2012 by joining resources and personnel from both agencies to combat illegal drug activity all throughout Bossier Parish.
