A Louis Vuitton purse was one of the items stolen by an unknown car burglar. Bossier Sheriff's deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect.

Detectives with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office are hoping someone will recognize a car burglar caught on home surveillance video who has been stealing from unlocked vehicles in various Bossier Parish neighborhoods over the past few weeks.

Bossier detectives have a dozen reports of vehicle burglaries in the Bayou Bend, Lakewood, Autumn Creek and nearby subdivisions in which a suspect has taken numerous items from unlocked vehicles at night.  Detectives have the surveillance video of one such burglary in which the suspect entered an unlocked vehicle around 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the Bayou Bend subdivision and stole what she wanted.  That video, although very grainy, shows what appears to be a white female with long blonde hair, medium to heavy build.  Another resident who had their vehicle burglarized in another neighborhood during that timeframe caught the suspect in the act before running off.  That resident told detectives the suspect was a female, fitting a similar description in the surveillance video.

There have been numerous items stolen during these burglaries, and one resident provided to detectives a photo of her actual Louis Vuitton handbag that had been stolen from her vehicle (photo attached, along with stock photo), and the suspect either has the purse or has tried to sell it.

Detectives believe there are likely more vehicles that this suspect has burglarized, in addition to the dozen cases reported.  If your vehicle was burglarized, even if the suspect took something from the vehicle or not, you are encouraged to contact the Bossier Sheriff’s Office to report it.  Also, if any residents that were burglarized have surveillance video, they are encouraged to call as well.

Anyone with information about this suspect or about the vehicle burglaries is asked to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers with your anonymous tip at (318) 424-4100.
